Our Environmental Commitments

At Milcotec, sustainability is not a campaign — it is part of how we operate. Our green profile is integrated into our daily operations, facilities, and long-term strategy.

As a company serving the agricultural sector, we recognize our responsibility to reduce environmental impact while supporting efficient and future-ready dairy farming. We actively invest in initiatives that lower emissions, support biodiversity, and promote circular resource use.

♻️ Circular Use of Materials

We actively reuse packaging materials such as cardboard boxes for shipments whenever possible. By extending the lifecycle of packaging, we reduce waste and minimize resource consumption in our logistics chain.

Circular thinking is a practical and effective way to lower environmental impact.

🗑️ Structured Waste Sorting

All operational waste is carefully sorted and handled according to environmental regulations. Proper separation ensures higher recycling rates and reduced landfill dependency.

Responsible waste management is a basic but powerful sustainability tool.

☀️ Solar Energy Production

Solar panels installed on our rooftops generate renewable energy for daily operations. This reduces reliance on fossil-based electricity and lowers CO₂ emissions.

Investing in renewable energy is part of our long-term climate responsibility.

🌱 Constructed Mini Wetland

Our mini wetland is primarily designed to boost biodiversity and create better conditions for wildlife.

By adding water, vegetation, and natural habitats to the landscape, it supports birds, insects, amphibians, and other species that thrive around wet environments.

As an added benefit, a mini wetland can also help retain nutrients and slow water flow, which may reduce runoff and protect nearby water environments.

🌳 Forest Area & Biodiversity

We maintain forest areas around Årslevgård to enhance biodiversity and support natural carbon sequestration. In addition, we actively plant new trees in areas where forest has previously been removed, helping to restore natural balance and strengthen local ecosystems.

Trees contribute to healthier ecosystems, improved soil quality, increased wildlife habitats, and long-term climate balance.

🔄 Manure for Biogas

Livestock manure is used for biogas production, converting organic waste into renewable energy.

This reduces methane emissions and contributes to circular energy systems within agriculture.
