JOZ Moov 2.0 at Vestergård – Autonomous Feeding with Separate Routes

JOZ Moov 2.0 at Vestergård – Autonomous Feeding with Separate Routes

At Vestergård, efficiency and reliability are key priorities in daily dairy operations. To optimise feed availability and reduce manual labour, the farm has invested in two JOZ Moov 2.0 autonomous feed pushers, each programmed to operate on its own dedicated route within the barn.

This setup ensures consistent feed access for the cows across multiple feeding areas, while allowing the machines to work independently and without interruption.

Two Feed Pushers – Two Dedicated Routes

Vestergård’s barn layout includes multiple feeding zones and transitions between sections. Instead of relying on a single machine to cover the entire area, the farm now operates two JOZ Moov 2.0 units, each assigned to a specific route.

By programming individual routes, the feed pushers can work more efficiently, avoid unnecessary overlaps, and ensure that feed is pushed at the right time and in the right place. This approach improves feed intake while reducing overall operating time.

Built to Handle Obstacles and Transitions

During operation, the JOZ Moov 2.0 demonstrates its ability to handle real-life barn conditions. The feed pusher moves confidently through passages, across rubber thresholds, and between barn sections.

Thanks to its intelligent lifting system, the Moov 2.0 can raise its skirt by approximately 7 cm, allowing it to pass obstacles smoothly. It can also manage ramps and gradients of up to 15 degrees, making it ideal for barns with varying floor levels or complex layouts.

This flexibility means Vestergård did not need to redesign the barn to accommodate automation – the automation adapts to the barn instead.

Reliable, Autonomous Feeding – Day and Night

Once programmed, the JOZ Moov 2.0 operates fully autonomously. Each unit follows its predefined route, pushing feed evenly along the feed fence and ensuring cows always have access to fresh feed.

Because the two machines operate independently, feeding remains consistent even if one unit is temporarily paused for service or adjustment. This adds an extra layer of operational security and flexibility to the feeding routine.

Less Manual Work, Better Feed Utilisation

By automating feed pushing with JOZ Moov 2.0, Vestergård has significantly reduced the need for manual feed management. The result is a more stable feeding pattern, improved feed utilisation, and better cow flow at the feed table.

Automation also frees up valuable time for staff, allowing them to focus on animal health and other essential tasks rather than repetitive feeding work.

A Future-Proof Feeding Solution

With two JOZ Moov 2.0 feed pushers running dedicated routes, Vestergård has created a scalable and future-proof feeding setup. As barn layouts or feeding strategies evolve, routes can be adjusted without major changes to infrastructure.

This makes JOZ Moov 2.0 a smart long-term investment for modern dairy farms seeking efficiency, flexibility, and reliability.
